| Gary Klein began working in legal recruiting in 1982 and is the founder and president of Klein Landau & Romm. KLR traces its origins to a predecessor legal search company started in 1984. Gary specializes in the recruitment and placement of partners and partner groups for law firms and in the placement of high-level in-house counsel. He is the exclusive legal recruiter for many Fortune 500 corporations and has opened the DC branch offices for several major law firms. Gary’s many years of experience and long lasting relationships with law firms, corporations and individuals in the legal and business communities allow him to provide a unique insight and perspective to candidates and clients in both the DC and New York markets. Gary graduated with distinction in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. After two years practicing psychology in Illinois, he moved to Boston to attend Northeastern University School of Law. In 1977, Gary entered private practice in Washington, DC. His claim to infamy is the representation of PATCO, the Air Traffic Controllers' Union during their strike against the federal government in 1981. That experience directly led to his decision to start a new career, legal recruiting. Gary then founded one of the first legal search firms in Washington, DC. APHRODITE AND ARTEMIS LOST IN TRANSLATION: Gary lives in Annapolis, Maryland, with his wife and youngest son, a two-time member of the Maryland State High School lacrosse championship team. In the fall of 2007 his son will attend Ithaca College to play lacrosse and perhaps go to classes. His eldest daughter graduated from the University of Delaware and his other son graduated from Syracuse University. Email Address: gklein@klrs.com |
